Martin Kohler of the BMC Racing Team spent more than 120 kilometers in a four-man breakaway Sunday before the Châteauroux Classic de l'Indre Trophée Fenioux ended in a bunch sprint.
Kohler Wins Sprint Classification
Kohler's group escaped on a climb after 50 km and built a five-minute lead. But a group of 27 caught them just after Kohler won his second intermediate sprint. The 31-strong group survived until the final 2.5 kilometers of the 201 km race and Anthony Ravard (Ag2r-La Mondiale) won. "I'm a bit disappointed because I could have done a top 10 if we had made it to the finish," Kohler said. Alexander Kristoff (14th) had the team's top finish.
