The World Champion has arrived!

Adelaide

Today the members of the BMC Racing Team who will be taking part in the first highlight of the season are all together.  Last but not least to arrive, current World Champion Cadel Evans joined the team Friday evening.

He will be the only member of the BMC crew who will not have to deal with any jet-lag.  He has been in Australia since November and has arrived in Melbourne hugely motivated:  “I am enormously pleased to be joining my new team.”  Together with his new teammates,   Evans wasted no time and went on a three hour training ride Saturday morning.  Only George Hincapie missed the training spin.  Instead the current US Champion joined a Tweet Ride with Lance Armstrong and countless others.  In the evening, the crew can look forward to a few special Australian visitors.  The organizers of the Tour Down Under will bring kangaroos, koala bears, and snakes to the rider’s camp.  Photos of these engaging introductions will be available tomorrow at www.bmcracingteam.com.
