Liège, Belgium

The success of world road champion Cadel Evans at Flèche Wallonne means the BMC Racing Team will stick to what is working as it prepares for Sunday’s edition of the final Ardennes Classic, Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

Evans Twice In Top 10

Evans will receive the full support of the BMC Racing Team, said Director Sportif John Lelangue. “We know Cadel can do well in this type of race,” Lelangue said. “He showed in Amstel that he was in good shape and then he won Flèche Wallonne.” Evans has previously finished fifth (2005) and seventh (2008) here. “Other teams will be looking closer at us,” Lelangue said. “We're confident we can work well to bring Cadel to the finish in the best condition.” The team was scheduled to ride the final 100 kilometers of the 258 km race route Friday morning.
