BMC Racing Team's'Cadel Evans finished in the top 10 of the opening time trial of Critérium du Dauphiné with a 9th position after the 5.7 km prologue in Grenoble.

"Nice perspectives for the overall"
Evans was the first rider of the team to start in order to avoid rain that felt during the afternoon, but eventually stopped for the last 20 riders. Luke Durbridge (Orica Green Edge) won the trial and earned the first yellow jersey of the race, and Evans made the BMC Racing Teams best performance with a 9th position, 6 seconds after the winner and Tejay van Garderen was 31st (12 second behind). BMC Racing Team’s Directeur Sportif John Lelangue, said Evans made a very good performance, "Cadel made a very good come back to competition, he only lost time on the specialists and he is very well ranked among the favorites," he said. Lelangue explained the fight for the overall will really take place during the time trial Thursday. "He will have to stay safe during the coming stages and after this prologue, we have nice perspectives for the overall."
