Sprint final at Le Samyn

3. March 2010

Duor, Belgien

The single-day road Le Samyn road bicycle race covering 191.9 km in Belgium didn’t give any podium spots to the BMC Racing Team. It was, however, good training for the bike pros because part of the route covered the same ascents as the coming Belgian Classics. Right from the start of the race there was a group of five front-runners, who were placed only thirty km from the finishing line. “Then both Chad Beyer and sprinter Alexander Kristoff suffered a fault, which made it impossible to get ahead. There were many attacks, with the race ending in the mass sprint without any BMC participation,” said team manager René Savary. The final went in favor of the young Belgian Jens Keukeleire (Cofidis).
