Pruszkow, Poland

Past Tour de Pologne winner Alessandro Ballan headlines the BMC Racing Team's line-up for the seven-day race that begins Sunday.

Santambrogio Also On Form

Ballan, fifth at this race last year and the 2009 champion, says he felt his form coming on while helping teammate Greg Van Avermaet win the Tour de Wallonie earlier this week. "I know I'll be up against some strong opposition from riders coming from the Tour de France," Ballan said. "My objective is to win a stage and contest for the overall." Teammate Mauro Santambrogio, who was sixth at the recent Tour of Austria, is also a GC contender. "The course doesn't' necessarily suit him, but there's no time trial and he's good on circuits and there are a lot of circuits at this race," BMC Racing Team Assistant Director Michael Sayers said.
