Critérium du Dauphiné, Stage 2: Uphill Finish

7. June 2011

Lyon, France

Tuesday's twisting, uphill climb to the finish split the peloton, leaving Cadel Evans of the BMC Racing Team in the second group that finished six seconds behind stage winner John Degenkolb (HTC-Highroad).

Time Trial Wednesday

Evans slipped one place in the overall standings, from third to fourth, and is 13 seconds behind race leader Alexandre Vinokourov (Astana). Wednesday's stage is a 42.5-kilometer time trial that follows the same distance and course as one that will feature in the Tour de France.
