BMC Racing Team In Action On Two Continents

4. June 2010

Santa Rosa, California

A one-day race in Switzerland Sunday marks the return of Alessandro Ballan and Karsten Kroon while the BMC Racing Team also fields a squad the same day for the biggest one-day race in the United States.

Philadelphia Race Is 250 Km

Ballan (held out of competition since April 9) and Kroon (injured in a crash in Fléche Wallonne) will compete in GP Kanton Aargau-Gippingen. "It's good for them to have one more racing day before the Tour de Suisse," BMC Racing Team Director Sportif John Lelangue said. "Ballan has always been training as if he was racing so he's in really good shape." Only six riders will start the TD Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championship. "With some guys coming out of the Giro, it was not realistic to send them when they need to recover," Lelangue said. "But I believe (Alexander) Kristoff and (John) Murphy have shown in the last couple of weeks that they have big potential."
