BMC Mountainbike Racing Team BMC Racing Cup, Round 4, Gränichen Preview

4. June 2013

BMC riders Julien Absalon and Lukas Flückiger are top favourites for the fourth round of the BMC Racing Cup 2013 on Sunday. In Gränichen Moritz Milatz will also try to latch onto the strong performance that he was able to show early in spring this year.

According to Lukas Flückiger, his teammate "Julien has to be the clear favourite." But after the World Cup races in Albstadt and in Nove Mesto Flückiger himself must be classified as a true contender.

In preparation for the World Cup in Val di Sole and for the European Championships in Bern, Lukas Flückiger plans to participate in the professional road race GP Aargau on Thursday. "Perhaps this will not be optimal preparation for Gränichen, but I have never really had any problems with it in the past. The terrain, the topography in Gränichen, it all suits me," said Flückiger.

His teammates Moritz Milatz and Ralph Naef have done a training session in Tuscany. German biker Milatz hopes that he has overcome the aftermath of his infection. After his hand surgery, Ralph Naef has contested his first cross-country race last Sunday in Italy, and he plans to continue on his way back to the top in Gränichen. Meanwhile Martin Fanger would like to perpetuate his recent series of strong results.
