BMC Racing Team Will Compete At Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah

12. July 2010

Santa Rosa, California

The BMC Racing Team will send a five-rider squad to the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah that includes a Utah resident and the U.S. national road champion.

Louder Champion In 2008
Salt Lake City native and current resident Jeff Louder will be joined by three-time national road champion George Hincapie and fellow Americans Chris Barton and Chris Butler and Swiss Simon Zahner. Louder, Tour of Utah champion in 2008 and third last year, said the race has quickly become one of the best in the United States. "As a native Utahn, I am particularly motivated to do well and we are bringing a team that will be competing for the win," he said.

'Very Demanding Race'
"I'm excited to be able to do another race in the U.S.," Hincapie said of the Aug. 17-22 event. "From what I've heard, it's a well-organized and very demanding race." President Jim Ochowicz said the race has special meaning for the BMC Racing Team. "We have some history with people who live in the area - both riders and staff on the team. So it's a perfect race to compete in at this time of the year," he said.
