Alex Moos & Jane Nüssli power to the win at the legendary Grand Raid Cristalp on their TE01 29

20. August 2012

BMC athletes dominated this weekend's Grand Raid Cristalp on the legendary trails between Verbier and Grimentz in Swiss Valais. The women's race over 125 spectacular kilometres was won by Jane Nüssli from the Fischer-BMC Team with an advantage of more than 30 min on Valérie Randin. Fanny Viret completed the women's podium.
The man's race turned in to a thriller after the beginning of the final descent to Grimentz. Alex Moos crested the Pas de Lona in first position with what seemed to be a comforting 2 minutes lead on Urs Huber. However, two flats during the final downhill turned the last kilometres into a real thriller. Alex Moos could hold his position and won the Grand Raid for the second time in his career with an advantage of 19 seconds on second placed Urs Huber. The 3th place was for Konny Looser.
Both Alex Moos and Jane Nüssli won their race on the new Team Elite TE01 29. After the double victory of Alex and Jane at the prestigious Eiger Bike Challenge last weekend, the all new carbon 29-er hardtail proved to be the fastest machine of the competition.
