BMC group

BMC Switzerland

BMC Switzerland is a group of velo friends. We are not among the giants in the industry, and that is our strength: We work with our values "simple, passionate and expert". "Simple" because we are uncomplicated, can make decisions quickly and implement them. "Passionate" because we are courageous, hungry and committed to what we do. "Expert" because we are well aware of our strengths and thus underscore the values of every brand in the group. The brands are BMC, Stromer and Bergamont. BMC thus offers everything that gets a cyclist's heart racing: From high-performance racing bikes, all categories of mountain bikes, and independently developed E:Bikes to city & lifestyle bikes or kids bikes. BMC is the Swiss brand from Grenchen that stands for premium bikes with an original design, high-precision technology and the best performance throughout the world. BMC is at home in racing, whether in the peloton of the Tour de France, on the trails of the cross country World Cup or at the high-class triathlons on every continent.

Bergamont is the German brand that offers a full product range. Simply clever. The Hamburg company has a very good sense of in-demand colors and designs and makes sure here that the bikes always remain affordable. This results in bikes with a trendy look, with first-class technology and with an outstanding cost/performance ratio.

Stromer is the Swiss E:Bike. Because the Swiss don't build cars, they developed a bike in Oberwangen, in "Stromer Valley", that is unparalleled. The Stromer bikes don't just look good, they are the epitome for urban mobility. Cleantech with lifestyle. Design with power.

BMC Switzerland, Grenchen, Hamburg, Oberwangen. Sold in 33 countries in the world. "Swiss country everywhere".

Grenchen, Swiss home of cycling

BMC is more than just a bike manufacturer. We think outside the box. For 2 years BMC has been producing in Grenchen in the automated impec factory, which simultaneously also serves as the research and development center for all brands. Unique in the area of lightweight design, precision and E-technology.

The redesigned showroom in the main building doesn't only invite you to get to know all the brands and the bikes.
Directly across from BMC you will currently find the "Velodrome Swiss" under construction. With a 250 m track, the head office of Swiss Cycling, a center for performance diagnostics and measurement, rental options, accommodations, a restaurant and a BMC shop, the Velodrome satisfies a broad spectrum of demands: This is not only the foundation for the training center for Swiss cycling. The Sportstrasse is becoming a destination for the whole family and a hands-on center for the hobby cyclist.

BMC feels closely tied to Swiss cycling. One of the mountain bike race series with the longest tradition thus now bears the BMC name: The BMC Racing Cup. International stars and national juniors meet here at one event.
The BMC IM 70.3 Rapperswil-Jona is being sponsored by BMC for the first time in 2013. Even though it has already been dominated by the BMC athletes Ronnie Schildknecht or Michael Raelert for years. BMC will use these events to support racing, but also to make it possible to experience everything that goes on behind the scenes. Professional sports up close and personal.

BMC - at home in racing

If there were an official international team ranking list, BMC MTB team would clearly be in first place in 2013. This year several people, including the major players Swiss eliminator World Champion Ralph Näf and World Cup silver medalist Lukas Flückiger, have joined the reigning European Champion Moritz Milatz and the 2-time Swiss Champion in CycloCross Julien Taramarcaz. The French mountain bike legend Julien Absalon, 2-time Olympic champion and 4-time World Champion, is also riding with the BMC colors.

The secret to our success is the active inclusion of the riders in the development of the BMC mountain bikes. This brings the riders who have something to say on the matter to BMC. And thanks to this cooperation, BMC develops products like the teamelite 01 29 or the fourstroke 01 29 in the full-suspension range.

The BMC Racing Team and its legendary squad depend on the developments from BMC. Riders such as Thor Hushovd, Alessandro Ballan and Swiss rider Michael Schär are competing in the Spring Classics on the granfondo GF01. Marcus Burghardt, Philipe Gilbert and others depend on the aerodynamic escape properties of the timemachine TMR01. Cadel Evans won the Tour de France on the legendary teammachine SLR01.

But the successes on the BMC race machines span all disciplines: The timemachine TM01 not only helps the time trials specialists Taylor Phinney or Tejay van Garderen to the pink or white jersey, but the world-class triathletes Andreas and Michael Raelert also grab the necessary seconds with the fastest machine in the world.
