The Swiss Army knife is well known as the ultimate « do-it-all » tool. Over the years, our trailfox has been refined with this inspiration in mind. The APS suspension is efficient and responsive enough to conquer the steepest climbs, and then smooth and progressive enough to tackle steep, technical trails. The geometry is optimized to offer both an all-day climbing position and sure-footed stability once the slope points down.

The TF02 combines the carbon front triangle from our flagship model with an economical aluminium rear triangle. Nearly as light as TF01, yet stiff and reliable, it provides the full trailfox experience at more affordable price points.

Saving weight on the frame allowed us to build the bike with a solid, trail-proven component specification, so it can be ridden hard right out of the box. A new integrated chain device, protected cable routing, suspension pivots, SAG indicator… we have worked on the details to keep you out of the shop and on the trails instead.

The skeleton concept iSC (integrated Skeleton Concept) has been around since the first legendary promachine. Since then, the concept has spent over a decade being refined and redefined. The idea is saving weight by supporting the top tube at the seat tube and increasing the stiffness where it is needed. In the front triangle of the frame. With the help of the latest in FEM (Finite Elements Method) computer technology, we can tailor each tube junction perfectly to the distribution of forces. advanced pivot system

Unsurpassed power transmission, traction control, and comfort.

The ideal suspension system converts all of a rider's energy into forward propulsion, while at the same time absorbing impacts. Mechanically, these two goals are at odds with one another. But BMC's APS rear suspension satisfies these two goals by carefully calculating the pivot points of the rear suspension so that inertial force generated under acceleration is not misdirected into compressing the shock.

How is this accomplished? With APS the virtual pivot point is positioned so that constant chain tension is maintained for forward acceleration. As such, pedaling forces are used for forward propulsion with no loss of energy transfer in the suspension system. At the same time, the shock system ensures optimum rear wheel traction, guaranteeing that those pedaling forces are not only getting to the rear wheel, but to the ground, as well. The end result is a suspension system that provides extreme power transfer efficiency, uncanny traction, and excellent comfort.
