Van Avermaet Will Lead Team At Brabantse Pijl

11. April 2011

Leuven, Belgium

Greg Van Avermaet will be one of the BMC Racing Team's protected leaders at Wednesday's edition of Brabantse Pijl, a race where he finished eighth last year.

Kohler Also Riding Well
"Greg's form is good and he has good experience here," BMC Racing Team Assistant Director Michael Sayers said. "On top of that, Martin Kohler has some really good fitness. He'll be good at a race like this so he'll be a protected rider, too." John Murphy said the absence of Karsten Kroon (out with a broken collarbone) will be felt. "It changes our tactics a bit not having him here because he's really good at giving directions during the race," Murphy said.
