The BMC Racing Team finished 12th in Wednesday's Stage 4 team time trial at the Giro d'Italia, 1:21 behind the winning time of Liquigas in the 33-kilometer race.

In The Rain

Starting with only eight riders due to the abandonment of Martin Kohler on Monday, the BMC Racing Team pedaled through heavy rain at times. Director Sportif John Lelangue called it a "regular team time trial" that didn't cost team leader Cadel Evans too much time. "With the team we have here and in those conditions, the guys were really working hard to make it happen," Lelangue said. "Liquigas made a really good time, but there are a lot of mountains still to come."
