French Winery Hotel Is New BMC Racing Team Sponsor

La Coquillade, a French winery hotel in the heart of Provence, will sponsor the BMC Racing Team in 2011.

Provence Cycling Paradise
The luxury getaway resort is owned by cycling visionary and BMC Racing Team Co-Owner Andy Rihs and located not far from one of the most fabled climbs of the Tour de France, Mont Ventoux. "The decision to promote La Domaine de la Coquillade through the BMC Racing Team was easy because it provides so much variety for the cycling enthusiast – some flat terrain, some mountains and beautiful weather," Rihs said. "This will also be a flagship center for BMC to bring dealers to test the bicycles." La Coquillade is conveniently located near Avignon, a major transportation hub, and currently features 14 superior suites, seven junior suites and seven charming rooms. In addition to offering BMCs to ride, the charming resort also features gourmet and bistrot restaurants, a piano bar and terrace lounge, tours of its wine complex, a large outdoor pool and spa and massage services. The hotel gets its name from the Provençal word for crested lark, “Couquihado,” which migrates to the area. More details on La Coquillade can be found at www.coquillade.fr.
