Busy Day For Wyss At Omloop van het Houtland-Lichtervelde

22. September 2010

Lichtervelde, Belgium

From being in the early break to being the BMC Racing Team's best finisher in the sprint, Danilo Wyss was busy throughout Wednesday's Omloop van het Houtland-Lichtervelde.

Teamwork To Chase Breakaways

After Wyss and teammate Simon Zahner were pulled back after getting in an early move in the 191-kilometer race, two different breakaways went away. The BMC Racing Team worked hard to chase a seven-man attack, then helped with the chase of a four-man escape that gained nearly six minutes. Inside the final three kilometers with the race back together, Alessandro Ballan helped position Wyss for the sprint among a group of 49 who came to the finish together. The Swiss ended up 17th as Stefan Van Dijk (Verandas Willems) won. "The sprint was really dangerous," Wyss said. "I was also little bit tired from all the work."
