BMC Racing Team Takes Classics Team To Berlin

19. maggio 2011

Berlin, Germany

Many of the same riders who led the BMC Racing Team to success in the spring classics will reunite Sunday for Skoda Velothon Berlin, a first-year race in Germany.

Race For Sprinters

The flat, 180-kilometer race in Berlin will give BMC Racing Team's Marcus Burghardt a rare chance to race in his home country. "It's a nice thing for the future of cycling," Burghardt said. "It will show us off to the fans and young children. It's not a race that favors me, so I'll try to help one of our sprinters." BMC Racing Team Directeur Sportif John Lelangue said the six-man rosters make the race more difficult to control. "If it goes to a sprint, we will look to John Murphy," Lelangue said.
