Amgen Tour of California, Stage 7: Looking Ahead

23. mai 2010

Los Angeles, California

What has been hardest edition of the Amgen Tour of California wraps up Sunday with the BMC Racing Team eyeing a stage win in a 134 kilometer race on a course it knows well.

Challenging Circuit For Finale

BMC Racing Team Assistant Director Michael Sayers said reconnaissance of the 33 km circuit in Thousand Oaks at the team's training camp in January means the strategy will be to protect George Hincapie and Steve Morabito and go for victory. "We will either try to place them either in a good breakaway or at some point create a group that suits them," Sayers said. "I think the circuit is very tough. It could change the GC quite a bit." After competing in his first time trial of the year, Hincapie is 18th, 6:03 behind leader Michael Rogers (HTC-Columbia). Morabito is 14th, 4:08 back. Only 84 of 128 starters remain in the race.
