Swiss precision, engineering and an outstanding design: Louis Erard launches a BMC limited edition mechanical chronograph

Swiss engineering, design of details and transforming precision: these are the attributes that unite the Swiss watchmaker Louis Erard and the high-end bicycle manufacturer BMC. This cooperation now results in a unique special edition of a mechanical, sporty chronograph. The watch will be available in a numbered special edition limited to 200 pieces.

The watchmaker Louis Erard focuses exclusively on mechanical watches and, even after 80 years of existence, continues to excel with the same values that make its watches unique and enduring: Swiss watchmaker tradition paired with unique design and timeless aesthetics. Alain Spinedi, CEO of Louis Erard: "We want to prove to all watch enthusiasts that expertise, design and uncompromising quality at affordable prices can become a reality for everyone."

Company values that also ring true for the young bicycle manufacturer from Grenchen. "BMC's bikes are fascinating for their utterly distinctive design and technically perfect shape. BMC develops all bike frames itself and places the highest priority here on the intended use in sports and the highest quality. Due to our partnership with Louis Erard we are expanding this philosophy into the watch section. This interpretation really fits our roots and allows transporting our values perfectly", stated Frank Schreiner, Head of Marketing at BMC.

For both Swiss companies, style, passion for innovation and Swiss precision are the most important values during the development and manufacture of their products. The cooperation for a limited special edition of the chronograph also resulted from this focus. The special model from the sporty collection convinces based on a very functional sporty exterior, a weekday and date display and a stopwatch. The black-red (BMC colors) chronograph will be available as of June 11, 2011, at all Louis Erard points of sale in Switzerland and costs CHF 2050.00. The edition is limited to 200 pieces. With the purchase of the watch, the buyer receives an original team jersey from the BMC Racing Team.
