4. June 2012

“The work out have been doing good”

While the stage victory was not his main objective of the day, Evans crossed the line in first position after he left with two other men in the descent after the final obstacle of the stage, the third category Côte de la Sizeranne, 9km from the finish “I saw that opportunity there when with that little group in the peloton, sometimes you see the opportunities you have to try something and that’s what I did.” Now ranked second in the overall ranking, one second behind the new race’s leader Bradley Wiggins (Sky Procycling), the defending Tour de France champion has a better idea about his current shape for his first race since Tour de Romandie ”That shows the work out have been doing good but I still have a lot of work to do and some improvement before we get to the Tour.”
