Tour of Austria, Stage 8: Sprint To The Finish

11. July 2010

Vienna, Austria

Florian Stalder finished the Tour of Austria as the BMC Racing Team's top rider overall (23rd) as Chris Barton was the best finisher (15th) in the final stage that ended in a bunch sprint.

Good Preparation For Poland
Simon Zahner said the BMC Racing Team worked to lead out Barton at the end of the 122-kilometer race that was won by Graeme Brown (Rabobank). We tried everything today but weren't successful," Zahner said. "This was a hard race with top riders. It will be good preparation for the Tour of Poland in three weeks." Riccardo Ricco (Ceramica Flaminia) took the overall win. Assistant Sport Director René Savary said, "We were here with young riders. It was an opportunity for them to try something. Unfortunately, we weren't able to achieve a top result."
