Tour de Wallonie, Stage 3: Kristoff Fourth

26. July 2010

Hotton, Belgium

On a hard, hilly stage of the Tour de Wallonie Monday, Alexander Kristoff continued to show off his sprinting ability with a fourth-place finish for the BMC Racing Team.

Concerted Chase
"I was a little too far back and had to go for it with 250 meters, but it was a bit too far," Kristoff said of the sprint won by Kristof Goddaert (Ag2R-La Mondiale). Martin Kohler was the early aggressor for the BMC Racing Team, going on the attack numerous times. But a missed move and furious chase, along with the toll of seven categorized climbs in 180 kilometers, left only Jeff Louder with Kristoff. "I did what I could to put him in the first 10 with 900 meters to go," Louder said. "He did a great sprint considering the hard work he had done and the relative difficult of the entire day."
