Ster ZLM Toer, Stage 2: Working Together

14. juni 2013

The four remaining BMC Racing Team riders in Ster ZLM Toer are working well together, said Assistant Director Max Sciandri.

Good Help For Positioning
In Friday's stage, it was Danilo Wyss who benefited most at the end of the 188.3-kilometer race, Sciandri said. "Adam Blythe and Sebastian Lander gave him a hand and Alessandro Ballan was there around 10 km to go and put him into position," Sciandri said. Marcel Kittel (Argos-Shimano) took the win ahead of André Greipel (Lotto Belisol Team) while displacing Robert Wagner (Blanco Pro Cycling Team) as race leader. Wyss finished 24th and remains 18th in the overall standings. After helping his teammate, Ballan said he was pleased with his effort in his first stage race since a serious crash in training in December. "I had a good day," the former world road champion said. "It was not easy for me on the small roads with the climb, but I stayed in the group and in the final I helped Adam and Danilo. I'm happy because this race is only training for me."
