Alexander Kristoff led out the sprint Sunday at the Grand Prix de Fourmies and held on for fifth place for his 16th top 10 finish of the season for the BMC Racing Team.

Evans, Zahner Cover Moves

"I was totally finished in the last 100 meters - 400 meters was too long," Kristoff said. BMC Racing Team Directeur Sportif John Lelangue said it was nice to see Kristoff try a new tactic. Romain Feillu (Vacansoleil) took the win. "He may have gone a bit too early, but it was good to try on this kind of sprint," Lelangue said. World road champion Cadel Evans and Simon Zahner covered moves for the BMC Racing Team in the final circuits in Fourmies. "It allowed us not to work and you never know when one of those breakaways might work," Lelangue said.
