Circuit Franco-Belge Could Hinge On Weather

26. september 2011

Mouscron, Belgium

The BMC Racing Team is prepared for the sometimes fickle fall weather of Belgium when the four-stage Circuit Franco-Belge begins Thursday, said Assistant Director Rik Verbrugghe.

Ready For Anything

"The weather conditions are a big factor," Verbrugghe said. "If there is wind or bad weather, it could be a strange race. But with good weather, it could be four days of sprints." Michael Schär, who has played a contributing role in four of the BMC Racing Team's five top 10 finishes this month, said strong teamwork can continue that success. "With Taylor Phinney, who has a good shape from the worlds, and Alessandro Ballan, who has a super experience in these kind of races, we are going to try to work together and go for a result," Schär said.
