BMC Racing Cup, Round 6 in Davos

After a hard training week Lukas Flückiger and Moritz Milatz succeeded at the BMC Racing Cup in Davos in taking fourth and fifth place on the podium.

Milatz and and his teammate had lost contact with the three-man leading group in the second lap. He then shared with Martin Fanger fourth and fifth place for quite some time whereas Ralph Naef und Lukas Flueckiger were riding a little bit behind them. In lap four and five the BMC quartett joined forces, and then Ralph Naef sacrificed himself for his teammates on the flat passages.

Whereas the four BMC riders managed to approach the lead group, they did not succeed in closing up to them. Moreover Lukas Flückiger had a crash, but due to a strong final lap he was able to take fourth position away from Milatz.
"I've trained a lot this week, and the result seems to be just exactly what I expected it to be," said Flückiger.

"As a matter of fact, I was feeling really good after this hard week of training," said Moritz Milatz after the race at the high altitude of Davos: "It was quite okay."

Martin Fanger crossed the finish line in sixth position, showing an upward trend after a period of illness. Ralph Naef was also not dissatisfied with his performance after he had put himself at the service of the team.

Reto Indergand was second best U23 rider on eleventh position.
