With its high end full carbon construction, the SLR01 is our benchmark product in terms of weight, and this was further optimized for MY13, bringing the total frameset weight to 1395g*. High torsional and lateral stiffness make the bike precise and responsive, which combined with the low weight results in an exceptional climbing machine.

Vertical compliance
TCC (Tuned Compliance Concept) was first introduced with teammachine SLR01 and provides the perfect level of vertical compliance thanks to a careful selection of shapes and carbon fiber materials. The frame, the seat post and the fork are designed as a whole system to isolate the rider from the road, filtering vibrations and reducing fatigue. Because a race is often won in the last kilometers, giving the rider this extra edge can make all the difference.

Race proven
The teammachine SLR01 has a long racing heritage to back it up, and the newest addition to its pedigree is certainly the most impressive. We’ve worked long and hard with our professional cycling team to optimize the bike as the ultimate race weapon. It is on the SLR01 that Cadel Evans won the most prestigious stage race of all time: 2011 Tour de France.

Optimized ride qualities in carbon products thanks to BMC's Tuned Compliance Concept (TCC).

With a neat combination of different carbon fibers and their alignment, and by applying stepped tube profiles, we achieve increased vertical compliance while maintaining high levels of lateral and torsional stiffness. The TCC zones on the frame, fork and seatpost boost the comfort rating noticeably. TCC significantly improves the ride experience by slowing the onset of rider fatigue and through precision handling and efficient power transmission.
