We have improved on our established rear wheel suspension Advanced Pivot System APS, and are using high-quality aluminum alloys and hydroforming for our frame building. The bottom bracket and the upper pivot hinge are manufactured using the groundbreaking shell construction method which pays strict attention to weight-savings.
The Single-Bone-Rocker suspension guarantees optimal tire clearance for the rear wheel and uncompromising rigidity. This is a bike where the frame and components work in perfect unison helping you to overcome all terrain obstacles.

The unique juncture of our seat tube cluster which ideally distributes forces remains our most visible innovation. For the racemaster SLX01 we have developed a bonded skeleton concept BSC which embraces the seat tube, aiding in the distribution of forces by providing a larger adhesive surface. This innovation achieves an extremely rigid and absolutely safe carbon-aluminum interface at this very important junction.
The substantial bottom bracket is instrumental for each BMC as forming the frames rigid core and consequently acts as the power center from which the chain stays, seat tube and down tube originate. The tubes are uncompromisingly aligned with the entire width of the bottom bracket so that the intense forces introduced by the act of pedalling can be ideally transmitted. The success of the design results in a powerfully propelled bicycle.
The near-legendary Advanced Pivot System by BMC. The APS Technology for neutral drive and braking, based on an inherently rigid rear end controlled by two relatively small levers.
The brake mount is directly bolted to the frame without the loss of power through the need for adaptors.
Triple butted tube set in a 7005 alloy. Triple butted means that the tube has three different wall thicknesses.
