The BMC Racing Team safely emerged from another nervous stage at Paris-Nice Tuesday while Danilo Wyss continued his assault on the bunch sprints with a 12th place finish.
BMC Racing Team's Amäel Moinard, who is 16 seconds off the lead, said even with a five-man break up the road for much of the day, there was a continual battle to stay at the front. "Just before the climb, there was a big fight to get good position," he said. "We lost a lot of energy and took a lot of risks, and in the end it was the same – a big sprint." Matt Goss (HTC-Highroad) took the victory and moved into the overall lead.
