Challenging Eneco Tour Ahead for BMC Racing Team

5. August 2011

Amersfoort, Netherlands

A variety of challenges await the BMC Racing Team when the seven-day Eneco Tour of Benelux begins in the Netherlands Monday.

Teamwork For Best Results

Two time trials and five road stages of different natures will test a BMC Racing Team roster that includes reigning world Under 23 time trial champion Taylor Phinney and recent Tour de Wallonie champion Greg Van Avermaet. "There's one day similar to the Tour of Flanders, one similar to the Ardennes and one like Amstel Gold," BMC Racing Team Assistant Director Rik Verbrugghe said. Phinney said while the time trials cater to his speciality, he's looking forward to helping out however he can. "I know if I put in the work for someone else, some day when I have good legs they'll put in the work for me," he said. "That's really how you build a team. Everyone working for the guy who is going to give us the best results."
